What is the connection between Triffids and The KLF, btw? Anyway, thanks a lot, guys... That makes my list the following: - Black Smoke (obviously!) - All Kalevala tracks (Gimpo! Gimpo! M25! yeah, should work) - America: What Time Is Love (and remixes) - Bill Drummond: The Man - Transit Kings (but I only know tracks that are too mellow) - Orb (a huge pulsating brain..., obviously) - Blue Man Group (just because they play KLF at the end of their gigs) - Big in Japan (band that Cauty played in, never heard them though) - Echo and the Bunnymen (should work in that place) - The Jamms (don't take 5, just for some laughs inbetween) - The Rites Of Mu (some short outtakes could set a nice ambience) - Scooter (well, I'm doubting this one really, but the connection is quite obvious) - Edelweiss (always a nice laugh inbetween, right?) - Strawberry Switchblade - Voice of the Beehive - Triffids - Deep Purple (wasn't it Glen Hughes who sang in AWTIL, btw?) - Those Naughty Lumps: Iggy Pop's Jacket (because of Bill's guitar part) - U2: New York (Jimmy's nasty remix) - Juno Reactor: Pistolero (Jimmy's remix) - Marilon Manson: (don't remember which track, but it was remixed by Jimmy Cauty and I have the single here) So, who is coming then? :) John Milne wrote:
Also, remember all the stuff Bill has a hand in A&R-wise in the 1980s, from Strawberry Switchblade to Voice of the Beehive. Then there's the Triffids, as I was saying in my last post; Deep Purple (for Ian Gillan of AWTIL and the once-proposed album "The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu" in rock; "Iggy Pop's Jacket" by Those Naughty Lumps (with Bill's guitar part), Jimmy's "nasty" remix of "New York" by U2 or his mix of Juno Reactor's "Pistolero" etc. etc. etc.)
Hope these ideas help!
