Bill Drummond's "favourite band of all time", the criminally-overlooked Wild Swans, have just released their first single for twenty-one years, "English Electric Lightning" b/w "The Coldest Winter for a Hundred Years", is now available for pre-order through their website: http://www.occultation.co.uk/

Once your order is processed you get 320kps mp3s of the tracks to keep you going until the vinyl is sent to you. As far as I'm aware, they're mailing worldwide - although it may take up to 4 weeks for the records to arrive.

Their 1990 single "Melting Blue Delicious", which featured a mix by Bill Drummond and one by Drummond and Dave Balfe, was pulled at the last moment and never released.  The "St Petersburg Mix" of MBD (available on the "Just Say Da" promo CD) features lots of train samples - and was recorded at roughly the same time as KLF8R.
