Are you sure?  I'm sure I've read something pretty concrete that confirms some of the sessions were recorded there (not all of it, by any stretch of the imagination, mind).  If they weren't recorded there, then the endlessly self-mythologising BD owes me petrol money!

(Seriously, there's been a few people on here over the years expressing an interest as to what Newton Stewart is "like", and it was fun to find out (in my view, though, its probably the least attractive of the picture postcard towns in that bit of Galloway).  It was also the town that the cast of "The Wicker Man" used as a base when filming in late 1972 - and as a "Wickerhead" I was very excited to see a lot of the film's locations during my drive around Machars Peninsula ... )
