So does anyone know exactly / approx how many copies of 1987 that has survived?
No one could know exactly. How many copies were sold in dozens of stores before they were recalled? Only the stores were required to hand in their copies. Individuals who had already purchased the album could hang on to them quite legally. And it was at least a few weeks after release that the court order came through. So I'd be guessing a few hundred are out there and almost certainly less than 1,000. I bought my original a few years ago now, and they do continue to pop up every now and then, so they're not that rare really. Certainly nowhere near as rare as "Love Trance", or Jarre's "Music for Supermarkets", for example. Michael
