People may know about this already, but I watching the David Essex movie "Stardust" on Saturday night. The film ends with Essex's rockstar character moving to Granada in Andalucia, and living in a castle on a hill. I'm 100% sure it's the castle from "The White Room". In fact, it's very odd to see it in another movie! Also, the mountains, fields, farmers and towns of the surrounding area appear in "Stardust" too (although, not the observatory from the very end of TWR).
Of course, the whole "White Room" is on Youtube - as is "Stardust".
To compare castles, check part 4 of TWR: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82Rywtj2zvE and fast forward to 2.58.
Then, check part 9 of Stardust: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s72Vje3kcgs and fast forward to 4.00.
Filmed 15 years apart, you can see that the tower and door into the castles are identical, as is two small pieces of "wood" (?) sticking out of the castle wall above the doorframe. And of course, the hill were Bill runs down is also featured in "Stardust" with delivery trucks arriving.
Anyone think that Bill and Jimmy picked this location on purpose - or is it a very, very, very unlikely coincidence?
John
