I assume the "black and white one" being referred to is this disk:

 

 

If so, I'm pretty certain this predates the Echo Beach disc by some time and it's this one which I believe is a legit promo (again - my impression, not definitive.  it could simply be a rip off the videotape).  Now if you guys are referring to some other disc, then, yeah, it's a boot.
