Possibly because it's heavily bootlegged? And only one track? Even USA92PROMO2 is cheaper than it used to be, going by ebay prices. PROMO3, "Love Trance", etc. are still expensive, though, I think. Also, I remember reading somewhere there CHOC ICE 3 was released as an (official?) KLF CDR promo in 1994: CD5: 1994 UK (??; ??) [x3, recordable CD, authenticated by Cress & Bill] 7:10 Justified and Ancient (anti a cappella mix) Okay, only three copies is hardly likely to flood the market - but a recordable CD in 1994 would have been a real rarity, let alone what as on it. Also, how did Bill and Cressida "authenticate it"? Was it mentioned in an interview with them both (I can't remember Cress being interviewed ever) and they went "oh yes, that was us"? Don't know but on the subject why is it that choc ice 3, despite being ultra rare, i.e. only 200 copies pressed only changes hands for 30 odd quid? ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Milne" <john@highlandland.fsnet.co.uk> To: <klf@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Sunday, October 10, 2004 11:07 PM Subject: [KLF] An obvious question?
Something which I've wondered since it first came out:
Did Bill and Jimmy originally intend Maxine Harvey to sing the single mix of "Justified and Ancient", and only changed it once Tammy Wynette got involved? Is that why we have the "All Bound For Mu Mu Land" version (as featured on CHOC ICE 1 and the CD single/12"?)
