What about me? I didn't contribute anything useful discussion-wise either. Can't somebody have a pop at ME for a change? Why is always people who right emails with spelling and/or grammatical inacriceys that get all the action around here? By the way can anybody tell me a program that will convert my pict files into mp3s? Ray 'Attention-seeking' Baal TheMgnt@aol.com wrote:
IT seems that a few do not like me. I donât care if you do or not. Likewise, it seems that MOST of you donât seem to have a problem with me running an ftp and getting what ever they can leech off of me. I have never and I repeat, NEVER EVER stopped anyone or complained about anyone from getting any and all KLF related files from my server.
No offence here, RM, but think about it for a moment. It's not if people like you or not, it's more that despite this being a KLF list, I (at least) can't recall one time in recent months where you contributed anything worthwhile discussion wise. Looking at your posts still available on my email server you posted a few "me too" requests where someone has offered a track (so you can add it to your server), offered that your server has a majority of KLF tracks, several posts asking or commenting on how to convert audio formats to other, several posts re Martyn Bennett (relevance being lost on me), asking for help because you can't access your website (?), alerted us that you've uploaded pics of your family to your site, and offered up a new mix you did. Twenty-some posts and one or two of interest to the group at large. This is about average for any time period we could look at. Everyone appreciates your server being available, and we all tolerate the occasional question or off topic post because, after all, we're all friends here in a sense. I do, however, dislike you dangling your ftp server in front of us when someone complains but your lack of relevant posts. You come off, frankly, like a kid telling us he'll take his ball and go home. Yes, we have all used it at some point, yes we all appreciate it, but don't threaten us with it just because someone tells you (again) to at least put an [OT] at the start of your posts. Your server doesn't give you license to, as someone says, treat the list as your personal help desk. -paul _______________________________________________ KLF mailing list KLF@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/klf Report list abuse to list-abuse at studio-nibble.com 'Contained in a transcendental idealism, X$X is only readable through its representing other which hence becomes its symbol.'
