I was listeneing to Stent's remix of Pet Shop Boys Go West the other day and it occurred to me that he seems to be one of the KLF klan whose career is never really discussed.
Is anyone aware of any other tracks he's mixed or remixed? His Go West mix contains a very distinct KLF-ism.
most of stent's work has been in production as opposed to remixing, but he did a few good remixes for depeche mode, "i feel you" and "walking in my shoes", though those aren't very KLF-ian. i've also got his remixes of saint etienne, laibach, and curve... iirc, that remix samples the KLF - last train, maybe? at any rate - http://www.discogs.com/artist/Mark+%27Spike%27+Stent (duh) -- micah stupak micah@benthic.cc www.benthic.cc benthic recordings - soundings from unexplored places oblique strategy: breathe more deeply
