also a lot of people try to connect their turntable directly to their PC, forgetting that you can connect it to your amp in the usual way, then connect line out or tape out to your PC...although not as loud or clear a signal as CD, the amp boosts the phono signal quite a lot...hell that's how we made old mix tapes back in the day after all =) tbc.
