I only just discovered the <a href="http://archive.org">archive.org</a> website a few weeks ago.  It&#39;s great!  I&#39;ve mostly used it for downloading live bootlegs of American college rock bands, but there&#39;s other things on there too.  It seems <a href="http://archive.org">archive.org</a> needs to get a confirmation e-mail from the artist saying &quot;it&#39;s fine for boots to be uploaded&quot;, though.  Doesn&#39;t that mean Bill or Jimmy would have to contact them first?<br>

as they will take it down...<br>

regarding recordings from vinyl,<br>
best option for transfer are turntables with USB<br>
direct to computer without mixer, EQs, preamps etc<br>
