Actually, sorry, it's Side 4 that plays twice. Same number of tracks (3) but not the right tunes! Which is a bit of a pain because those are the tracks I really wanted! ;-) Neil On Mon, Oct 14, 2013 at 5:21 PM, Nick King <nickwking@ntlworld.com> wrote:
Sounds like you've got a rare mispressing to me - hang on to it! :)

Hi there. I was wondering if someone could help me. I bought a copy of Shag Times from a second-hand store today and I'm not sure if I've got a bootleg or a mispress.
The album is gatefold - the press chronology runs in the correct chronological order and the catalogue number on the spine is JAMS DLP 3. It has the 2 LPs for the price of 1 sticker on the front.
The problem is that Side 1 is missing. When I play Side 1, I actually get Side 3.
Side 3 and Side 4 are both correct so I'm getting Side 3 twice and no side 1.
The other odd thing is on the second disc with the correct tracks. It appears as if the label for Side 3 has been restuck (badly) to the original label for side 3 (it's the one with all the bmps listed on it) so it appears as if something else could be beneath it.
Anyway, I'm assuming I've been had. But everything else about the record seems legit (the hand scratched codes on the vinyl for example). What do you think?
Thanks
Neil
