Is it time for a "Nu Sounds of Mu"?
Using MP3s and other sources, I've been slowly adding to the original "LSOM"s for 2 years now. I'm now at "LSOM" Vol 19! In addition to Chris' excellent suggestions, I think a "Nu Mu" or "Nu Mu 2" should go all out in the rarity stakes: (0) Intro taken from Tony Wilson's Barbican appearance in 1997 (1) Love Trance (2) Deep Shit Part 3 (3)The Lover's Side (12" Mix) (4) Madrugada Eterna Club Mix (Radio Edit) (5) WTIL? (Monster Attack Mix) (6) Last Train to Trancentral (the snippet of the "original" (?) mastered in stereo from the "White Room" on-screen soundtrack, and unavailable anywhere else) (7) Burn the Beat (taken from the Possum CD "History of the JAMs") (8) Prestwich Prophets Grin (taken from the Possum CD "History of the JAMs") (9) What Time Was Love? (10) 3 AM Eternal (UK Radio Edit) (mastered from the CD "Vitamin E") (11) Mr. Hotty Loves You (Disco 2000-b side mastered from the Belgian CD single) (12) Doctoring the Tardis (video edit taken from the KLF3 Video CD) (13) What Time is Love? (performed by Acid Brass on their live CD) (14) The Magnificent (15) 3 AM Eternal (Live at SSL Edit) (without gunfire, either from Chris' 7" or the compilation with it one that was mentioned a few days back) (15) What Time is Love? (KLF4T b-side mastered from the Power Mix CD single) Hopefully other people like my suggestions. The only one I'd have problems with is sampling from the DVD soundtrack - but I think Andy could manage that!
