About two years back there were one or two list members who were Scooter enthusiasts and wrote to the list about Scooter frequently. As I recall, Scooter are KLF admirers, but have nothing to do with the KLF themselves. Dan Hutchins darrenforster99@ntlworld.com wrote:
Just heard a really good song - so good I just had to download it. I found out it's details, Scooter - Logical Song. Whilst downloading it I looked on their website for details of it and noticed the cd and everything had a strange resemblence to The KLF - car parked (Chevy) in the middle of the cover (Timelords), and also from a distance the CD looks like it had a T (for Trancentral on it), when clicking and making it bigger I realised it was a speaker with a strange oval round it.
After downloading it my thought of the association of this song with The KLF grew even stronger, right in the middle of the song they say "The K the L the F anthology" - same line used in 3AM Eternal. Also the whole song is very KLFish, sampling an old song - Supertramp - Logical Song, to make a superb track.
So now I have a few questions
Are the KLF anything to do with Scooter? Who is Scooter? Are Scooter anything to do with The KLF? Is Scooter, The KLF in disguise? Why are Scooter copying The KLF? Has Scooter been mentioned on this list before?
