Ok, this is scary stuff! I wanna check my 2 & 3 promos... can somebody upload a scan of the original etching on each one before I'll die? Btw: I bought mine for a guy in London along with JAMSLP1, IGUN grey vinyl, Pure Trance 5, J&A Promo 3 etc... Thx. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Don Gagen" <DGagen@EnsembleStudios.com> To: "All bound for Mu-Mu Land." <klf@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Monday, January 05, 2004 7:30 AM Subject: [KLF] KLF 92 PROMO 3 On that topic, I found out my version of PROMO 3 is a bootleg even though the etching is handwritten. Apparently if the handwriting doesn't match the size and style of KLF 92 PROMO 2 then it's a fake. It makes me wonder if there are any mechanically etched bootleg versions at all. Even more interesting is the fact that the handwriting does match that of a known bootleg, ETERNITY 23 (the one-sided Madrugada Eterna club mix) Mike Dutton claimed to have a hand in the ETERNITY 23 bootleg, which would probably mean that he helped bootleg PROMO 3. I managed to dig up a few posts from the list back in 98 which I pasted at the bottom. I don't remeber who I bought this record from, but I paid betwee $150-$200 USD back in 96 or 97. I have to wonder how many were made or how much I could expect to get for it. It must be the ghost of Mike coming back to haunt me. Thanks to Tim Richard etching info.
