the tracks on the CD will have to be 'normalized' to some extent as even when sourced from cd, different tracks and albums are mastered at different volumes

normalization typically finds a kinda mean volume between the tracks for consistency, but i've always found it a bit of a can of worms...software such as nero frequently fucks it up royally with its automatic settings

i've always adjusted the individual volume for each track manuallyfor mix cds but then i worry that i am making something somehow "louder" than the artist intended...then again i worry too much and i'm sure a happy medium (median?) can be reached

tbc.

Thanks. I agree, there should be more cross-fading.

Not noticed the Tardis sound quality - maybe its low because it's from the Video CD single? The 3AMENT is taken from the "Ultra Rare Trax" CD, and the sound quality on that is a little bad. When I editted the track with Nero I could see that the right track was "stunted" (not sure of the technical term). If someone has a better mp3, mastered from vinyl, of 3AMENT I'd love to get a copy and add it to the tracklisting.

Doubly thanks! If you check the mp3s using Windows, you should get all the info about where they originally came from, including all the mixes (to my memory, they're Whitney, Madrugada Eterna, WTIL (Live) and FTM) that were done by Paul.
