Re: swearing on records ... Apart from the afore-mentioned "The Man Don't Give a Fuck", which is simply splendid on every level (even the Steely Dan sample), for true swearing as a fine syncopated art form, the Derek and Clive comedy albums (Peter Cook and Dudley Moore's alter-egos) are recommended - although they are a bit tired and over-referenced in these post-New-Lad times! Truly, to swear properly, one has to have gone to Oxford or Cambridge. John PS - Or be Jackie Wilson. Check out the 1968 "X Version" of "Think Twice", which has La Verne Baker collapsing into giggles as Jackie sings the word "cunt" at her with due reverence.
