if u has a creative soundcard u can download the free playcentre2 program. this doeas all the formats u deirse and much more :) winamp also has the features u wants. and a very helpful forum room hope u gets sorted

Hi boys and girls, Well I left here about 2.5 years ago when I finished Uni., but I have now returned, armed with a hotmail account to avoid Spam... I was actually subscribed to the old list for a while - but for some reason my mails didn't appear to make it through to the 'list... So what do we have here? Have I missed anything? Lost sounds... III? Were there ever any more Kalevela singles or an Album? (annoyingly I lost my original 7"s when I moved house, and only have a MD recording of the originals - oh, and MP3's from mancentral) Anyone remember me?? (I was at the 2K Fuck The Millennium gig, and the pub afterwards (and before)) as a way of an introductory offer: I've got 90 of the MP3's from mancentral on CD (we've got ADSL here at work - might as well use it!) so if anyone wants a copy then let me know. all the essentials on 1 CD! marvellous! CD Video

Hi All, I have (and still use ) a Phillips CDI player.The original Timelords Video CD never played on it at all. With regards to other CD Videos I have a couple of Pink Floyd Live sets Distant Sound Of Thunder & Pulse. Basically the CDI format didnt take off the picture quality was a bit poor but the sound quality was excellent. I dont know of anyone who managed to get the Doctorin The Tardis video cd to play did anyone....Regards Mark W.

There were a number of them; I remember seeing the Timelords one, as well as a couple for the Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, etc. Also, the David Bowie Sound and Vision boxed set had a "bonus" disc that included the video for Ashes To Ashes. That one is the only one I actually own. Of course, you also have the usual issues between PAL and NTSC...AFAIR, the singles I saw were fairly evenly split between UK and US releases. These CDs are playable in any laser disc player (assuming it is capable of playing 5" discs, and most of them were), but you simply can't play the video portion in anything else. If it matters, it should be reasonably cheap to pick up an old laser disc player second hand... BTW, discussion should probably migrate to the mailman version of this list; Lazlo will probably be shutting down the lists.xmission.com one at some point... Looks even fishier than the first - there isn't even a proper scan of this supposed item. Neil There were only ever 5 Pure Trance 12"'s planned, 3 released 2 unreleased (or maybe 1 if you believe that Love Trance has now surfaced). The one copy that turned up was not part of the slew of major reissues that appeared in shops around the UK last summer. I bought a CDR copy from Miles (who paid a helluva lot for the Love Trance 12") and i don't realy know if is the KLF. I'd rather like to think it isn't as it is not as good as any of the 3 officially released tracks, indeed i'd goes as far as saying it was crap, but that is maybe because i'm listening in 2002 and it's sound is very dated.
