Unreleased KLF Track

As many of you will recall a cache of lost and forgotten material was rediscovered during Jimmy's house move early last year. Some of the tracks were liberated by The Junior Insurgent Transmitter Ensemble for the soundtrack to the 2009 M25 Spin. We have produced a single track DVD sampler and will be giving it away to all the "spinners" joining us this year. The track featured is a unique version of the Pure Trance classic What Time Is Love and was recorded and performed by The KLF at the very first Helter Skelter illegal rave held on the 30th September 1989. We will be meeting up at Thurrock Service Station just off the M25 at 11am on Saturday 20th March 2010 and will be on the London Orbital Motorway until 1pm on Sunday 21st March. Every two laps we stop for fuel and pick up passengers / collaborators at Clacket Lane Services (clockwise side). KLF Non Official Reworks and Remixes

We've all heard many remixes and reworks of KLF tracks. But for me there are just too many with a break beat over the top that show next to no creativity and essentially spoil the track. There are some decent ones though. I'm a purist, I tend not to like anything other than the original tracks but every now and then something turns up, often in the player at the bottom of the site, which makes my ears take notice. For me the Kuta and C-Row Remodelled and Remastered selection totally takes the cake. I've not heard anything that comes close to this in terms of quality and raw production talent, that somehow manages to capture the original essence and bring it right up to date. Of course, I'd like to stumble across something that rivals these - anyone got any other good ones?

Just got mine.. wearing it right now! DvD is on its second play with KITT taking the starring role. I like this Skippy mix of KSTJ, I remember the excitement about this track surfacing recently I think. Anyone know who came across it and how it fell into their hands? And what source was it taken from? Cheers PVC!

On my lazy Sunday i am putting my record collection on discogs. In my collection i found a record from Kosmonove vs. Fiocco - Celebrate. A well know track years ago. i never noticed it, but today as i looked closer, i saw that the vocals are by Maxine Harvey. Did anyone just see the documentary on BBC4? A tenuous KLF link I know, but of course Albatross features on Chill out, so there is a connection... It was an amazing piece of film - well worth recording if you have the ability, it's on again at 1:30am GMT tomorrow on BBC4 again.

[OT] Need help transferring vinyl to digital

Hello all! I'm looking for some advice/help from my fellow KLF enthusiasts. I have : a Sony PS-FL7II linear tracking turntable purchased in 1989 and used approx. 80 hours with a needle/cartridge that reportedly cost as much as the deck (I'm guessing $100), a DiscWasher record cleaning system circa 1989, a Zerostat3, and a ARTCessories DJ v.2 USB preamp feeding into a MacBook Pro. I'm trying to rip several records including a seemingly pristine copy of The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu 1987 WTF is Going On? Overall, the record sounds very good with no pops or clicks. However, there is a persistent static sound that is noticeable not so much through my external computer speakers but significantly through my decent home and auto stereo. I've tried every different cleaning and anti-static tactic to eliminate this static for digital transfer purposes. The software I'm using to master my recordings is Audacity. I don't have the cash to buy a better deck/cleaning machine/software. Is there any way I can clean-up this static with what I have? Thanks in advance for your sage advice, Dan Hutchins Detroit-ish
