Unreleased KLF Track

As many of you will recall a cache of lost and forgotten material was rediscovered during Jimmy's house move early last year. Some of the tracks were liberated by The Junior Insurgent Transmitter Ensemble for the soundtrack to the 2009 M25 Spin. We have produced a single track DVD sampler and will be giving it away to all the "spinners" joining us this year. The track featured is a unique version of the Pure Trance classic What Time Is Love and was recorded and performed by The KLF at the very first Helter Skelter illegal rave held on the 30th September 1989. We will be meeting up at Thurrock Service Station just off the M25 at 11am on Saturday 20th March 2010 and will be on the London Orbital Motorway until 1pm on Sunday 21st March. Every two laps we stop for fuel and pick up passengers / collaborators at Clacket Lane Services (clockwise side). RMStinger's FTP Server?

Hi List, rarely posting - but member of this list since 1995, I just discovered that RMStinger's FTP server was shut down more that a year ago :( I think that this stuff should be available online - at least for the list members here - for k-l-f-ology research purposes ;) So I'm asking myself if there is any mirror of this stuff online. If not, I would be glad to provide one. RMStinger - are you still on the list? Is there a possibility that you could upload the whole content of your KLF FTP Site (Bittorrent / Rapidshare/ Whatever) some time? I would be willing to continue your tradition and to host the stuff on one of my own ftp servers. So what do you think of the idea? Best regards Bert K

This is a good suggestion. The ftp was really useful. What happened to the ftp anyway ? I used to have all the logos somewhere. Although, to be honest, they probably wouldn't be considered hi-res these days. If you can get a hi-res scan of the cover of 1987, then you could take the pyramid blaster from the middle of the logo there and blow it up to the size required. the four marks around it are just lightening zigzags to represent the music soundwaves aren't they? should be easy to create something similar. Can be seen clearly in the Dotorin' the Tardis video (which I'm sure you already know) (it's on a scan of a letterhead too - not quite the same version as is on the doors though - http://www.klf.de/home/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/jamms-201-sheet.jpg) Also, here's an overhead shot (again, am sure you've already got this from google) http://easyweb.easynet.co.uk/~stuey/klf/beatmastersvideo-cars.jpg I never realised the KLF logo on the back was different from the front. Looks like the one on the front is a stretched version of the one in the top left here : http://www.klf.de/home/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/merch023.jpg the one on the back is almost the same but the inside of the diamond is white. Also, i thought i'd see it with the 23 in the thicker, rounder standard klf font? I'll have a dig around and see if i can find the old graphics files i had. at the very least, would be able to use them as a template, blow them up to a decent size, and then create a smoother version at a resolution that'll be suitable for your sign writers. do you know what kind of image file they require? what formats do they accept? Hi all, an update. The most exciting one for me so far........ there's a brief video in this one! http://projectfordtimelord.blogspot.com/2010/12/arrival.html We're getting to the stage now where we need to start supplying sign writers with graphics for the KLF logo on the bonnet, and the pyramid blaster on the doors, as far as I know these logos have never been on any published work, the pyramid blaster is always in 3D and the KLF logo on the bonnet/boot has the diamond around it that you normally associate with the JAMs logo. Careful inspection of various parts of the White Room video give some detail, but I'll admit to being as rubbish with Photoshop as I am with a conventional pencil and piece of paper. If anyone fancies turning their hand (or rather mouse) to recreating something that we can use I'd welcome that very much. We are looking for as close to perfection as possible, so if anyone does fancy having a crack, with respect, there's not a huge amount of point in starting this unless you're confident you can replicate the logos to a very high standard.
