There was a guy selling an Italian 1-track boot of ME as a "rare white label" on Ebay just before Christmas. His starting price was around £45, and then it dropped to £40 for a second go, iirc. I suspect no one bid because, as he described it as a one-track promo, it was clearly ETERNA 23 (the boot) and not ETERNA 1 (the gold). As far as KLF010RR, I'm sure Record Collector said it was only ever shrink-wrapped with KLF010R, and the double-pack was limited to 500 copes. However, someone on the list recently said that they found a copy of RR, on its own, in the racks of HMV in Oxford Street (again, iirc) back in August 1989. I remember the poster saying "it was the only copy I ever saw, and I bought it instantly". In any case, it seems to be fairly well acknowledged that KLF010RR exists as a single 12", rather than a double back, although the precise number of copies out there seems very slight. Does anyone on the list have an original UK copy? Also - when was KLF010IR (Deep Shit/Lover's Side Extended) available on Ebay? I must have missed that one! And talking of Deep Shit, aren't there two tracks - "Deep Shit" and "Deep Shit Part III" (aka The Illegal Remix)? This is where the IR (Illegal Remix) in KLF010IR comes from - because it starts with KSTJ and then veers off into the Queen and I. Presumably, this track (Part III) can't be the same as the flexi-disc recorded in 1988, can it (because KSTJ wasn't recorded then - K & J weren't famous enough, for a start!)? Also, I'm sure having a "Part I" and a "Part III" but NOT a "Part II" is some sort of joke, or reference to something, but I can't remember what. Illuminati? Deep Shit Part III (the illegal remix) would have been a really funny joke if KSTJ had been a big hit single, I suppose (like January: What Time is Love and its bagpipes). I was browsing through Ebay earlier today (JAMSCD4 "buy it now" for £100, anyone?) and wondered - what is still worth getting excited about in KLF collecting circles? CHOC ICES, USAPROMOs, Love Trances, etc seem to appear regularly now. Here's what I think is "still exciting" (even if some might not exist): CDs: Eternity Project One, History of the JAMs Possum edition, No More Tears (French promo), What Time is Love (the Coma CD with the "Primal Mix"), Marathon "Love Park" (3" CD with Orbital mixes) Vinyl: KLF010RR (haven't seen one of them for four years, and it was German import); ETERNITY 1 (Ebay once threw up a backwards-mastered 12" of this, I think - but not the three-tracker); KLF8T (the original Last Train, or even the sleeves with "The White Room - Pure Trance 5" written on them); Last Train (Benio Dub) Any views?

There are loads of these Amnesty Discs around. I sold a Cranberries one on Ebay back in 2003 (and the buyer told me there were at least another 3 featuring Dolores and the boys). Due to the picture disc ink, and the lo-fi original recordings, most of the speeches included are indespiherable (and bugger all to do with the featured artists, of course). I think the Cranberries ones feature speeches from WOMAD in 1986 (four years before the band had even formed). I expect the KLF ones are similar. However, I suppose the count as "legit" product more than some marble-effect Love Trance ever will. I think we can make this work with all the KLF stuffs. I always think that some of my records are "different" from the describe of the discography... Maybe we can make a real database with all the informations about records, CD, tapes and VHS, with photos, cat number, runout groove, date, country, etc...? Is there someone who have the time to collect all these informations for the list and make a reference website (www.klf.de for exemple...) ? Apologies to all those who are bored with me banging on about this - but if you watch "The White Room" movie, and listen carefully to scene soundtracked by "Go To Sleep", you can hear about 10 seconds of what sounds like an unreleased version of "Last Train", mixed in with "Go To Sleep" (it happens just before the scene at the camp fire). This version contains a noticeable bassline over a synthesiser melody - and is markedly different to KLF8R b-side. It sounds more like the original "3 AM" (KLF5T a-side) in style - and has a strong trance element. I've always this might have been a ten-second snippet of the planned KLF8T/E-train. It certainly suggested there's an "original" LTTT somewhere that's unreleased (as the press release for KLF8R also suggests). Maybe B&J had just got bored with trance by spring 1990. Sadly, I fear the Coma CD does NOT exist - but if it did, it would be the only CD home for the Primal Remix. Of the Pure Trance era, I think there IS quite a few tracks available on CD (forgive me if you know this already): KLF4T a-side (on JAMSCD4 or "Warehouse Raves 4" CD and then various KLF CDs) KLF4T b-side (mislabelled on the "Power Mix" CD single, but its definietly the b-side mix) (No CD appearance of KLF4R remixes) KLF5T a-side (on "Warehouse Raves 4" CD) KLF5T b-side (on KLF005CD) KLF5R a-1 (on "Vitamin E" CD) KLF5R a-2 (remixed on "Auntie Aubrey 2" CDs) (No CD appearance of KL5R b-side remixes) KLF8T a-side (on "Ambient House" CD) KLF8T b-side (on "Indie Top 20 Volume 12" or KLF008CD) KLF010CD track1 (also on "Indie Top 20 Volume 8") That would probably make a fine CD! :-) Oh, and the Mardugada Eterna Italian promo (ETERNA 23) features on track: the dance mix 5-minutes, not an ambient version. It has a beat quite similar to sections of "Space". ETERNA 1 (the official KLF promo) includes three tracks, apparently - an edit of the dance mix (which has been around as an mp3 for years), the same dance mix as the "Italian" bootleg, and the version of ME from KLF010CD (very similar to "Chill Out" but with a different intro and outro).
