An approximation, based on the KSTJ CD single, appeared in 1996 - but has anyone seen any original KLF artwork from 1989? Since sleeves for Pure Trances 3, 4 and 5 are available - why not the pre-"What Time is Love Story" JAMSLP4? I remember once asking about the strange, cartoon-like lettering that appears on the back of Pure Trance sleeves saying "taken from the motion picture (cartoon writing) THE WHITE ROOM" and I wondered if the sleeve would have been based on that? Also, would it have been day-glo green and pink, like the real JAMSLP/CD4? And replies (a) Ourwebstuff: as far as I'm aware, the sessions were recorded on Kiss FM in 1989, and were also something to do with Coldcut (?) Presumably, Bill, Jimmy and Alex were on Kiss FM around that time (hence, the Orb's "Kiss" EP) and this was the result. I think two of the tracks were made available on CD as part of an interview booklet - and another might have been made available as "The Orb" track (which is just called "The Orb", with no artist - or not title) on the CD of "Eternity Project One". (b) Andy: as far as I'm aware the 1992 "J & A" cover is not part of the Kompetition. Are you maybe thinking of the Atomic Kitten sample? E-bay beauties

Apologies if anyone has spotted this and is keeping it quiet! ;-) The Benelux 6-track CD of Doctorin the Tardis is now available on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4040261570 featuring all the mixes (including the two KLF3R mixes not available on CD elsewhere). I know Winston e-mailed me a while back asking about these mixes, and Paul and I discussed them last year. They're not as good sound quality as TVT or KLF, but this is the first time I've seen this CD on ebay for over twelve months. I'm pretty sure this isn't a KLF remix (or two for that matter) but I can't find anything on Google about it. £10 buy it now, too. Anyone have any info as to what it could be? John

KLF cover version

I found a tape compilation called "UK Top Twenty Charts Volume 3" in a charity shop last week, containing a megamix of tracks from late 1991 and early 1992. These were apparently mixed by "Chartbusta and the Megamixer". All the tracks, however, turned out to be covers made by session musicians. A cover of "J & A" is mixed into "Dizzy" by Vic Reeves and the Wonderstuff (hooray!). The album also contains covers of Moby's "Go", 2 Unlimited's "Get Ready For This", Altern-8's "Activ-8 (Come With Me)" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" (all made to sound bizarrely similar). A very strange collection, I'm sure you'd agree! But hopefully I can mp3-ify "J&A" soon! John

Yeah, the sound on it is a bit rough and distorted compared to the other CD releases. A rare cd for the collector, but your vinyl copies of the two mentioned tracks (thought it was one but I'll go with john on this) will sound better. Is this not in the discog? I don't see it. Does anyone have a copy of the Canadian CD with all six tracks? Somersault SOMCD 736 -paul
