Celebration of Life for Don Dunlap - Nov. 2, 2024

Donald H Dunlap October 23, 1936 to September 25, 2024

Our beloved husband and father passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 25, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. His golden heart stopped beating, his beautiful smile at rest.

Don was born in Oklahoma City, OK to Mead and Erma Dunlap on October 23, 1936. He went to school in Sunnyvale, CA and then moved to Port Townsend, WA where he attended College at Seattle Pacific University. Don loved to fly and took lessons where he flew his family to Washington State to visit with his parents.

He served in the military in Augsburg, Germany where he met the love of his life, Bertha. They married October 2nd and had two beautiful daughters. They moved to Salt Lake, Utah where he worked on the dock for several truck-lines. They bought a small piece of land where they built their home in 1971 and farmed and raised animals.

Don’s pride and joy was teaching his girls about life so their journey would take them to new heights, his love for them was boundless. With family in tow, he was able to travel to places including Europe, Egypt and throughout the United States.

His caring, sweet and funny nature made him a joy to be around. This allowed him to have touched many lives with kindness, and generosity. With this ability he created charmed friendships at many Car Shows he attended with his Classic cars, 1953 Lincoln Capri and 1962 Thunderbird.

Survived by his wife, Bertha, two daughters, Diane and Sandy, Diane’s husband Mark, and 4 grandsons Nick, Steffan, Beau and Brandon. In December, Don is survived additionally by his first great grandchild from Brandon and, granddaughter-in-law, KyLee. We hold you close within our hearts, and there you will remain, to walk with us throughout our lives, until we meet again.

The family invites you to a Celebration of Life in his honor at: 1415 W 11775 So
