The Annual Car Show Junkie show is set for next Saturday in Kamas Utah, 9a-3p. Kamas City Park, 400s Main Street. Earlier arrival always insures nicer parking spots! And.. Nice, Cool parking on the grass!. Registration is FREE, funds raised by “prizes” are donated to Alzheimer’s.. Jason from CarQuest always puts together a fantastic event, awards and super prizes.. The local lions club cooks up a fresh cooked, hot breakfast from 8a to 10a. This is “Small Town USA” hospitality it its finest,, The weekend includes a Demolition derby and a Rodeo Bull Wars, Fireworks.. AND the Car Show Junkie FREE Car show.. Kamas has made a little change in our Show Field, so we are “adjusting” the layout.. T-Shirts, Awards, Dash Plaques, PRIZES.. Proudly sponsored by CARQUEST.. The Peterson Family always assembles best of teams to Put together the best of events.. The CAR SHOW JUNKIE CAR SHOW !!
This Wednesday is set for SHAKE SHACK Cruise/Show 6123s State, Murray Utah, 5-8pm. Complimentary Cup of Custard has always been nice and refreshing!. Awards, Dash Plaques an ”Specialty” Awards.. as well as various door prizes. Shake Shack features Kiosks you can order and pay thru OR, OR,.. Simply go to the counter and order at the counter.. They also have a LARGE parking lot, However, they usually pack the house, so come early for a select spot.
Thursday is SODA ROW/Live Daybreak Cruise/show Co-hosted and assisted by the DayBreak Car Club, We now utilize more parking area around the stage gravel area, Additional Parking is open along side “The Break” But PLEASE, one side of the road only, Codes insist on a “Fire Lane” available. Event Management always has great door prizes. Awards, Dash Plaques and Specialty Awards.
COMMENTARY: …
Recently, during our events, we have put together a presentation of OUR flag.. OH My !! … If you could see what I see.. As we start, to watch everyone actually freeze in place, face and express heartfelt appreciation to our Beautiful Flag and our Country, This is absolutely breath-takingly amazing.. Yes, we are experiencing troubled times.. but, its so nice to put aside opinions and differences and come together as AMERICANS! I truly love this country and especially those who served, or are serving to protect it. I am referring to not only our VETERANS, but I also include those who serve our country AND Community daily. SERIOUSLY.. Where would we be without them? It is high time we stop and show gratitude and appreciation to each one we see/meet or come in contact with,, Tell them THANK YOU, shake hands,, give a hug. But, DO IT,, and MEAN IT!
Last Wednesday at Les Schwab in Murray, We were part of a Fund-raiser for a Veteran and retired law enforcement officer Capt. Scott Montefusco. Scott, shall we say Gathered forces to kick off his quest to show his military tribute vehicles and at the end of next season, after driving his retro-jeep across the country, then donating it for Veteran Funds! (www.gartforvets.org) Last Wednesday was an AWESUM EXPERIENCE,, THANK YOU to all who attended and now have this memorable experience to tell everyone about.. Scot enlisted the use of a HUGE Crane, Thanks to Wagstaff, to raise a 30x50 foot AMERICAN FLAG high into the sky, A group of Marines, raised the flag, one end to the crane the other was Tethered to the bumper to the jeep.. Well as the flag was raised, Mother Nature decided to show off, just a little.. the breeze picked up… and so did the jeep!!. Everything was quickly resolved thanks to about a dozen volunteers.. Special Awards were presented along with a Prize worth about $1,00.00 going to Pat Brown and her beautiful wagon. Congrats to all winners,, and Everyone attending and supporting this fantastic event,, WE are ALL winners for being there !! Jc
