GSL Slip Renters and Marina Users A Hurricane Force Warning has been issued for the Great Salt Lake Marina Area A Storm Warning has been issued for the Great Salt Lake Strong winds will begin to develop over the Great Salt Lake and Great Salt Lake Marina Area beginning around noon today. These winds will continue to build throughout the day and into tonight with the maximum wind strengths coming through the marina around 8am Monday morning. Wind gusts in the Great Salt Lake Marina area will likely exceed hurricane force from around 11pm tonight until 8am tomorrow morning, when the wind will switch to the west. Hurricane Force Winds means gusts exceeding 75mph with dangerous seans and weather conditions. If you have not ventured out to check your boats and dock lines you may want to do so before noon. Please note that there is VERY LITTLE the marina staff can SAFELY do to protect property in the marina once these winds develop. There is a significant chance of a power outage at the marina during this storm. We will keep you posted on developing issues as this storm develops unless the power does go out.
