Not to bore all of you. But here are some Lake Level statistics. It looks good so far: In September, we usually drop .49 feet on average. This year we dropped .40 In October, we usually drop .09. That is basically what we dropped this year. In November, we usually come up 0.14 feet. We came up 0.2 feet. In December we usually only come up 0.22 feet. We are up 0.3 feet and still have 11 days left. It is likely we will come up at least another 10th of a foot.
From our low point, lake level wise, we usually only come up 0.36 feet by the end of December. We are already up 0.5 feet and will more likely be 0.6 feet up by the end of December.
National Weather Service is still predicting a wetter-than-normal winter for the Great Salt Lake drainage area. I don't know if this will bear out. But we are heading in the right direction. Hope to see you all out here tomorrow for the Bottom-of-the-Pit party. Dave Dave Shearer Park Manager Harbor Master Great Salt Lake State Park 801-209-9142 [skull and crossbones]
