Marina News For the Week of April 15th, 2008 Current Conditions Lake Level 4196.2 Marina Mouth Depth 6.8 approx (in shallow spots) Water Temperature 54 degrees GSL Drainage Snowpack 114% Water Level Prediction I'm modifying my prediction based on recent snowpack accumulation. I think it is likely we will hit or surpass 4198 (two feet below normal). We haven't seen that level since May 2006. Launch Ramp Closure Please remember the launch ramp closure on April 18th and April 21st so that "Island Serenade" can be removed from the water. Crane Day & Parking Lot Closure The south parking lot will have limited access on the morning of April 18th due to crane day. Water to the docks Low temperatures have created a problem with turning the water on to the docks. We hope to have the water and the pump-a-head on by this thursday. Drought Snowpack is looking great. According to NOAA the drought appears to be over for most of the GSL Drainage area. Other areas are listed as "Abnormally dry". NOAA is also forecasting "Improvement" for the GSL Drainage area. Mast Hoist Again, What can I say? maybe by fall. Marina Policies Most of you have probably read the email about all the trash and mess left in the marina. Management feels forced, due to the safety of property and people, to enforce policies spelled out in your slip contracts. Below is a reminder of those policies. 2. Attachments and modifications to any portion of common area is prohibited unless approved by the Park Manager. Storage of flammable materials on docks or in dock boxes is prohibited. (d) All boats must be maintaned in a seaworthy condition and be propery moored with adequate mooring lines and shall not exceed two feet of overhang. No reconstruction that would make the boat unseaworthy or unsightly shall be undertaken in the marina.
