The Harbor Master Eardley Spit Cruise is only one week away! Although long-term forecasts are unreliable the current long-term forecast shows 78 degrees with plenty of sunshine for next Saturday. We will have the Captain’s Meeting at 10am next Saturday at the marina pavilion. Please plan on being there. We have a few guests that do not have boats or do not have their boats in the water yet. They are looking for rides to the Spit, so if some of you can give them a ride it would be appreciated. Please plan on departing shortly after the Captain’s meeting for the Spit so you can get there in time for the barbecue. This is the first year for the barbecue. I will be providing Brats with buns and condiments. Side dishes are very welcome and appreciated. Beach games such as horse shoe and bocce ball will be set up. If you have a dingy please bring it. Otherwise we will have a few shuttle boats to take people to and from their boats although it is also an easy swim. Water temperature is 69⁰ today and it is expected to be in the low 70’s next Saturday. Some things to think about bringing: Shade, chairs, coolers, beverages, sunscreen, beach toys of your own, paddle boards, kayaks, etc. This is the cruise event of the year. Hope to see you there.
