Navigation Notice #1 November 21, 2007 Great Salt Lake State Marina GSL Slip Renters and Marina Users. The Deep Channel buoy "G11" was destroyed last night during the squall. This is the first green buoy just outside the mouth of the marina. It was one of the oldest buoys and the metal base had deteriorated to a point that it broke free from the buoy last night during the waves and wind. I will try to have the replacement buoy set by this weekend. Until then caution should be used when entering and leaving the marina. Do not get to close to the breakwater.
