Storm Warning For the Great Salt Lake Marina Area and the Great Salt Lake GSL Slip Renters and Marina Users. A Storm Warning has been issued for the rest of today and tonight for the whole Great Salt Lake. Thunderstorms are now developing in the West Desert and Tooele Valley. These tunderstorms may produce strong micro burst winds and lightning. Some of these thunderstorms may be hard to detect before they pop over the Oquirrh Mountains. Keep a lookout towards the Tooele Valley, Stansbury Mountains and Stansbury Island for developing storm cells. Winds on the lake will be moderate today except near storm cells where they may be violent. Dave Shearer Harbormaster Great Salt Lake Marina Have you checked your docklines lately?
Dave, With the falling lake level, we have decided to pull out until next spring. Can you tell us if there is any plans in the works for a crane day? It looks like we would be interested in early August. Thanks Meyers Crew
