Slip Renters and GSL Marina Users This is an update to inform you we still have a STORM WARNING issued for the Great Salt Lake Marina Area. We are experienceing occasional thunderheads with strong downdrafts. Some of these thunderheads have produced seviere weather on the Great Salt Lake. So far we have only seen 40 knot gusts in the marina with some of these storms. NO DAMAGE HAS BEEN OBSERVED IN THE MARINA. This monsoonal weather will continue tonight and into tomorrow. This brings the potential of strong thunderstorms, lightning, heavy rain, hail, and strong downdrafts. The current forecast is for isolated storms tomorrow morning with a greater potential as the day progresses. NOAA is only forecasting a 30% chance of showers tomorrow. But be advised that strong downdrafts could effect the marina area without the showers. If you are sailing tomorrow, keep a watch over the Oquirrh Mountains, Tooele Valley Area, and Stansbury Island and Mountain range for building thunderheads. Listen to NOAA weather for warnings of seviere thunderstorms. Thank you GSL Harbormaster
