IT IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER NOW! The last social of the year and longest lasting tradition of the Great Salt Lake Marina . . . The Bottom-of-the-Pit Party and Chili Cookoff! Saturday 22nd from 11am to 3pm. Bring your favorite chili recipe or side dish. There will be a contest for Best Tasting, Spiciest, and Most Original. This party started on the docks in the mid 1970's with a big vat of chili to celebrate the winter solstice and shortest day of the year. And to look forward to a new approaching sailing season. This social is open to all of the marina community, whether you are a sailor, kayaker, sculler, or just love the lake. Hope to see you all there! Dave
