Hi Dave,

I am out of town (in Alabama) and won't be back till the end of the month. Can you watch over my boat. Not sure what else to do.

Thank you very much.
John

It appears a few boat owners are not taking my advice very seriously.  I have been watching the wind models for the last few days for the wind event this Friday and Saturday.  The wind models have been deteriorating for the last few days.  That means that the forecasted winds look like they will be very strong.

Forecasted winds of 30 plus mph can produce gusts of 50 to 60 mph at the marina.  We could possibly see stronger gusts than that.

It is essential that boat stands are chained together to prevent them from popping out from under the boat in strong winds.  There are at least six boats that do not have boat stands chained together.  This includes a Newport 30, to a Catalina 25.  It is YOUR responsibility to chain your stands together!

PLEASE COME OUT HERE AND PROTECT YOUR PROPERTY AS WELL AS THOSE BOATS AROUND YOU.  CHAIN YOUR STANDS TOGETHER
