GSL Slip Renters and Marina Users.

Last week you received an email from me regarding Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District’s proposed plans to dump contaminated water into the Great Salt Lake east of the marina.  I also stated that Kennecott is doing just that already.

Well, Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District, Kennecott, and the Department of Water Quality have agreed to come out and talk to the marina community about the current dumping of contaminated water and the proposed dumping of contaminated water.

We will also be doing a quick presentation about wind, waves and currents on the Great Salt Lake so you and the above mentioned groups may better understand what will happen to this ground water when it reaches the lake . . . essentially head right for the marina.

We invite you to attend this important informative meeting.  This is your opportunity to become better educated on this and to ask questions of these entities.

The meeting is next Monday, May 23 at 5:30pm at the Great Salt Lake State Marina.
