GSL Slip Renters and Marina Users Yesterday's storm was incredible to watch at the marina. Although the wind at the marina was never that bad (66mph top gust), the wind on the lake caused a massive negative storm surge. We lost so much water that several boats, who's keels were resting on the bottom of the lake, were pushed upward in their slip. "Mandala" was pushed up over a foot with the dock lines raising the slip fingers up. Wilburn's boat, and Rob Peterson's boat were pushed up and had their bows completely out of the water. If you touched the side of my boat it would just flop to the other side. The mouth of the marina nearly choked off. And then all that water came back at once. The mouth of the marina looked like a raging river. See attached video. I haven't seen anything like that except at the Columbia River Gorge. It was an amazing site.
