Email Problems
You may notice I am using my personal email to send this out rathar than the GSLHarbormaster email address.  Hughes tried to update a program for their email system.  Well, as things go, Murphy had a lot of fun with them and now their email system has crashed.  GSLHarbormaster@hughes.net may be a few days before it is working again.  If you have emails to me, use my personal email dshearer@gslyc.org  If you have sent an email in the last few days and I have not responded, it is probably because of this problem.  Please send it to my personal email.

Frontage Road issues and power outage
Many have noticed to destroyed power lines over in the Kennecott ponds.  Utah Power and Light plan to remove those in the near future.  Instead, UPL plans to run an overhead line from our underground power line that runs north of our frontage road.  This means the line will run over the frontage road for the marina.  The height of this line will be over 16' feet so it should not cause a problem.  Yet, there are two issues that will effect the marina users.  First is that the power will be down for several hours as they make the transition.  Secound is that access on the frontage road will be effected.  UPL will shut down one lane of traffic at a time.  They will have flagmen directing traffic.  This will last a day or more.  We do not have a date on this yet but it will be mid May or early June.

New Playground
A playground has been donated to the marina by Jarrod Marx.  It has been installed but needs some work to shore up.  Hope to have this work done shortly.

Water to the Docks
The water has been turned on to all the docks except 'C' and 'D'.  Water to these docks will hopefully be on tomorrow evening.  Both these docks have leaks that must be repaired.  Water to the pump-a-head and porta potty rinse station has also been turned on.

'K' dock repairs
K dock, being the old dock that it is, is going through some repairs.  The old slips on K dock are having the cleats beefed up and new rub rail attached.  This may take some time to finish.  Please be patient with our work.

Salt Island Adventures
Salt Island Adventures is relocating from the Great Salt Lake Marina.  They have removed their boat from the marina.  Yet there are some problems with the truck and the boat.  The boat is being moved back to the Great Salt Lake Marina parking lot for a few days to secure the load properly.  This boat will be located in the north parking lot.  We will try to arrange it so the truck has a solid, level surface yet the marina patrons will have access to the north parking lot with little hinderance.

Thank you
