GSL Slip Renters, It is now that time of year to renew your slip contracts. All your slip and dry storage contracts along with your credit card autopay forms will expire December 31st. Contracts will be mailed to you December 6th so expect them in the mail next week. We forgot to include the 2011 Credit Card Autopay Form though. Please click on the attachment to this email and print out your AUTOPAY form and send it back with your contracts. If you are going to be at the marina this weekend, please stop by and pick up your contract at that time. We are trying to save money everywhere we can. A couple of important notes this year: 1. The state legislature wants to increase slip fees for 2011. This is in an effort to make PARKS more financially independent. Due to the low lake level and the fact that we had 20% of our slip renters stuck in the marina this fall and winter, we have asked for a rent freeze at the 2010 rate levels. And we have been granted a ONE YEAR freeze on "Wet Slip" rentals except for "K" dock. "K" dock will go up to the standard 30' rate as all the other 30' slips. This means 'K' dock's rates will be $180/month during the summer months and stay at the standard $90/month rate during the winter months (or $210.00 increase annually). All dry storage rates, daily slip rental rates and park entrance rates (for non-slip renters) will go up in APRIL. For a complete listing of the new rates please see the attachment to this email. 2. You are now required to have liability insurance to rent space at the marina. Please include that in the contract. 3. Please make sure you fill out the forms COMPLETELY (except for the mussel-free certification information for obvious reasons). 4. If you do not know some of your boat information, please feel free to email harbormaster@gslmarina.com and request that information. I will see if we have that information and I will email it back to you. 5. We need the completed forms back NO LATER than January 5th, 2011. Unreturned boat slip lease forms shall signify that the lease is not going to be renewed and that the boat owner is voluntarily terminating the lease. 6. The front gate code, parking sticker colors, and all the dock keys will be changed no later than January 5th. Only those individuals that have submitted a contract prior to that date will be issued codes, passes and keys to the marina. A small handful of you may not be receiving contracts but rather collection or slip cancellation letters. If you have a significant past due amount, we will not be allowed to renew your contract. Please contact either Bob Rosell or myself to clear up past due amounts ASAP so that you will not be locked out January 1st. Bottom-Of-The-Pit Party. Yes it is that time of year again. Time for the Bottom-Of-The-Pit Party celebrating the shortest day of the year and the upcoming boating/paddling season. We want to invite ALL OUR MARINA USERS to the Great Salt Lake State Marina on Saturday, December 18th between 11am and 3pm for annual chili cook-off social. Bring your favorite chili recipe (pot). Awards will be handed out for most original, hottest (spiciest), most unusual, and the best tasting recipe. We hope to see you there.
