It is a new year with lots of promise for lake level.  Today we are about 164% snowpack for the Great Salt Lake drainage area.  Water watchers are estimating the lake could come up 2 to 5 feet.  Don’t get overly excited but at least we are in a much better situation than last year.  Soil saturation is also good so we should see some good, hopeful spring runoff totals.

I have spent a great deal of time on the water this winter and it is incredible to see how much fresh water is flowing on top of the salt water right now.  Currents are running strong.

Although actual dredging has not begun yet the preliminary work is going on now.  I should have a dredging update sometime tomorrow but rest assured that we are finally there.  We are physically moving forward.

In anticipation of a good spring runoff I am thinking of having a crane day late March for those boats with a draft of four feet or less.  Please email me and let me know if you are interested in a late March crane day.  And if you are start thinking of doing that necessary work to get your boats back in the water.

Thanks
Dave
