First of all, everything seems to be ok at the Great Salt Lake State Park structurally and boat wise.
The marina and park is closed until we can do a thorough inspection but, so far it looks ok other than a mess of stuff on the floors in all the buildings.
We were just a couple miles away from the actual epicenter. The epicenter seems to be one of the faults between the marina and Antelope Island.
The electricity is back on. All the boats in the parking lot are fine. Docks seem to be fine.
There is damage near Kennecott. They have closed SR 202 and part of SR 201. The only way to get to the marina is I80. But please stay away for a while until we thoroughly check things.
It felt like a jack hammer ride out here. Or like being in a snow globe while someone was shaking it.
I will keep you updated.
Please know we are all safe and will get back to you with more information when we are done inspecting.
Thanks
Dave
