Ok. The good news first. The engineers for the dredging have been hired and contracts signed. They start work on dredging design next week. So we officially have forward movement. I think I should know much more information after our meeting next week. Now for the bad news. We are running 10 degrees hotter than normal for June. This is not good as it accelerates evaporation. It is now time to get all the boats off D dock and move them to the south basin where it is a tad deeper. If you want to move your boats yourselves please do so. Just contact me and I will give you a slip assignment. If not we will start moving them this weekend. We need to do this before your boats become stuck and we cannot move them out of the NW basin. And it is now time to schedule the next Crane Day. I have tentatively scheduled it for Thursday, June 30th but might have to bump it to an earlier date if we start evaporating at a faster rate. If you have draft over 3.5 feet you MUST come out. If you have a draft over 3.5 feet please RSVP ASAP. Also make preparations for trailers, cradles or boat stands. Order boat stands ASAP as we cleaned out a lot of the availability on the last few crane days. For those that prefer pulling out using the launch ramp your window of opportunity will begin to close soon as the area by the ramp is heavily silted. I will keep you posted as information becomes available regarding dredging. Dave Dave Shearer Harbor Master Great Salt Lake State Marina Antelope Island State Marina 801-209-9142
