GSL Slip Renters and Marina Users
Rescue One is being pulled today for it's
yearly maintenance. The boat will be out of the water until the end of
July. What does this mean for the marina community? Not much unless
you are one of those that like cruising the reef grounds.
Rescue Four, although a fantastic boat,
does not have the horsepower that Rescue One has. Because of
this, when we start pulling a boat grounded on the reef, Rescue Four's
stern sinks dramatically putting the props at risk. And we have bent the
tow bar before pulling boats off the reef. So, please, if we can refrain
from cruising the reef grounds during July, it would be greatly
appreciated.
Oh, and Rescue Four is not an enclosed
cabin and since I don't like to get rained on, don't get in trouble on the water
while it's raining. Oh, and although Rescue Four, does ok in
the waves, Taz tends to get airborne off the seat when we hop those big waves,
so don't get in trouble on the water when the waves are up.
So, for those that want "Vessel Assistance" during
July, do it in calm, deep water on a warm sunny day.
Thanks for your cooperation and
understanding.
