3 FEET! That is how much the lake has come up since December 31st! To give you some perspective we normally only come up 2 feet during the WHOLE spring runoff. Last year, during that same period of time, we came up 0.3 feet. Snowpack for the Great Salt Lake Drainage area today is 147% with the Bear River, our most important tributary, being 164% The snowpack continues to climb. Upper level snowpack hasn't started coming down yet. Direct precipitation is 163% since January 1. We have 5.6 feet of depth at the marina mouth (without dredging). And we may potentially see as much as 2 more feet of lake level rise before runoff is over. Seriously! It is time to think about getting your boats ready to go back into the lake. We only have a limited amount of slips still available on the May 25 crane day but dredging will be done late June. It is time to go sailing!
