GSL Slip Renters and Marina Users In the last few days there have been two sightings of rattlesnakes in the marina. One sighting was of a Western Diamondback. The other snake was not clearly identified but was rattling. These are the first two confirmed sightings in over 20 years. I'm guessing the high water is moving the snakes from the brush along the beach into the marina. Obviously rattlesnakes are very poisonous and can cause serious injury or even death if not treated. Yet rattlesnakes are very shy of humans and will slither away. They only become aggressive when they feel threatened. If you see a snake, any kind of snake, leave it alone and report it immediately.
