Dredging ceased this morning and the dredge was removed. The marina is now open for regular business and access to the lake during normal hours and after-hours for those with valid slip contracts. There may still be some very short temporary closures as there is some mopping up to be done.
During dredging some large rocks were discovered just before you enter the mouth of the marina after passing B dock. These rocks are off-center towards the northern breakwall. The dredge cannot remove rocks. We will be working on removing them sometime in the near future. In the meantime please stay as centered as you can throughout the mouth of the marina. Great care should be taken when exiting and entering the mouth as there is really only safe room for one boat still. The dredge just couldn’t work too close to the breakwalls without running into rocks or degrading the breakwall.
For the same reason it is also advisable to stay nearer the dockside of the fairway inside the marina.
See attached file for a diagram of the location of the rocks.
Thank you.
