For those that are craning out Thursday/Friday, I am almost done with the crane order. I am just putting final touches on the order to keep it running as quick and safe as possible as well as economical as possible for everyone. I hope to have the final list put together by this evening. If not it should be out by tomorrow morning. Please plan on paying for your share of the crane on Thursday or Friday/ whichever day you end up coming out. We will try to get all the boats in one day but that is very unlikely. We have about 40 boats on the list now. I can take cash/check or credit card. Also please make sure to thank the volunteers that are helping out. An endeavor as large as this cannot be done without volunteers from the marina community. A "Thank you, for your help" goes a long way on a cold day. If you have trailers or stands at home, please bring them out in advance if at all possible. It will help to make the day go quicker. If your boat is going on stands make sure you have chain to chain the stands together. This is essential for stability in wind storms. Chaining your stands together is YOUR responsibility. Parking will be somewhat tight that day. There will be parking available in the north parking lot. The south parking lot will be closed to all traffic except the cranes and tractors. There is no new update on dredging or the causeway breach. The breach of the causeway is scheduled for this Thursday. As most of you know that have dropped masts this last two weeks we have been pulling any boat with a draft of 4 feet or more through the mud to get to the mast crane or crane out area. On a good note, we have had quite a bit of moisture in the last few weeks. And December's long-range forecast is for storm after storm. See you Thursday/Friday.
