It has been some years since there has been an OPENING DAY celebration at the Great Salt Lake.  Covid or low water have hindered being able to hold the event.  So here we go

OPENING DAY 2024 – Great Salt Lake State Park

This event is for the whole marina community and their guests.

Saturday, May 4^th at the Great Salt Lake Marina.

10am Skippers Meeting at Marina Patio followed by the Blessing by our own Leroy Carter

10:30 Boat Parade – Instructions will be at the Skippers Meeting but the parade will start at navigation buoys R2 and G1 leading back into the marina.

            Boats will come back into the marina and pass near E dock for individual boat blessings

Noon will begin Lawn Games and events held by Great Salt Lake Row (more details to follow in the next day or two)

Exclusive Excursions will be offering boat tours on their pontoon boats and will also have a taco vendor out where food can be purchased.  Food includes street tacos, burritos and quesadillas.

1pm through the afternoon – for those that need to raise their masts and need a little help or guidance there will be a Mast-Raising Party.  Come help others or get help yourself raising your mast and rigging your boats.

This event will include the rowing group and the sailors and any other group that wants to participate.
