FOGSL 2017 Fall Fundraiser

There are details below for the FOGSL Fall Fundraiser, and if possible please support their fundraising efforts by attending the fundraiser, donating to their cause or becoming a “Friend” of Friends of the Great Salt Lake ($30.00 annually). This organization does SO MUCH to protect the Great Salt Lake – and their efforts flow down to us, by having a beautiful lake to sail and row on. Without their preservation efforts, the quality of the water and the overall condition and health of the lake, would be so much worse. Please, please, please support them in any way you can – no donation is too small. New Food Trailer at the Marina

Gonzo Boat Rentals will have their new food trailer open tonight and Saturday. If you are out here on one of those two days give it a try. The food is great! I had the French dip today and it was very good. He will also be serving sodas and beer also. This is a trial run for next year. We are happy to have this new addition to the marina. Fall and Winter Forecast

It appears a weak La Nina has formed. The current long-term forecast for the Great Salt Lake drainage area (Wasatch and Uinta Mountains) is for a wetter-than-normal winter. This is very good news for Great Salt Lake if it proves true. It is also looking like the lake level is stabilizing out. If so (and I say that with an abundance of caution), this would be earlier than normal and also spells good news for Great Salt Lake.
