Due to a Search & Rescue event at Utah Lake that involves GSL Marina employees, we have not been able to update a proper forecast on www.gslmarina.com today. Charts showlight to moderate north winds at 5 to 15mph with moderate chop today and sunny skies. Sorry for the inconvenience. We hope to have a complete forecast updated sometime this afternoon. Atomic4, Shaefer roller furling, main, jib, wheel steering, self tailing winches, etc. DESIGNER'S COMMENTS C&C 36: The C&C 36 design follows on the heels of two very successful predecessors - our C&C 33 and C&C 38. The hull's fine deep forefoot ensures good upwind tracking and ability in a seaway, while the full quarter sections add sailing length when heeled or at speed. These features, coupled with improvement in basic keel design, result in a fast, comfortable yacht. The deck arrangement includes improved comforts for crew or family with more comfortable seating, open coamings and recessed cleats in a basic T-shaped cockpit. The mainsheet traveller, always a toe stubber, has been incorporated in the cabin top to further enhance the capacious cockpit and permit easy movement through the companionway. Traveller controls are simplified, resulting in easier handling of the C&C 36. A full depth anchor well is incorporated in the foredeck facilitating the job of anchoring and relieves the aft lockers of this stowage problem as well. The tripod rig and double spreaders provide solid fixity for the spar while at the same time providing the feature of accurate spar adjustment. The 36 incorporates a full length trough along the rail with a drain to provide overboard discharge of rain water preventing traditional streaking of the hull and requiring less maintenance. Below, the C&C 36 has broadened the cabin sole area in the galley and main cabin, allowing more comfortable sleeping and seating arrangements. The quarter berth and navigator's area include lined, dry lockers, spacious chart table and more drawer space for stowage. Once again our internet has crashed at the marina. We do seem to have email access on a limited basis though. Weather Forecast: Storm Warning. Afternoon thunderstorms with the potential of gusty winds and moderate to heavy seas associated with those storms. Otherwise mild seas to light chop with light north winds and mostly cloudy in the morning. We hope to permanently have our internet issues fixed by Thursday (this, of course, is with the benevolent cooperation of Rocky Mountain PowerOUTAGE).
