GSL Slip Renters and Marina Users The storm is now upon us. The wind has subsided for now although they are forecasted to build later this evening again. Maximum gusts at the marina were only in the 20's. There is no damage to speak of except for Ken Hemingway. You have a broken dock line. We will keep you posted of anything significant. STORM WARNING GSL Slip Renters And Marina Users We have issued a Storm Warning for the Great Salt Lake Marina Area and the Great Salt Lake for today. A fast approaching front is proving to be a little tricky. It could come through as a wall cloud which can pack a strong wallop as it passes over the area. Strong winds and heavy moisture are possible as this front passes over. We will keep you updated as this storm develops and passes over the marina. After much digging, I found current snowpack data from the SNOTEL sites for the drainages that feed the GSL. The link on the GSLYC website only points to a report that is seldom updated. Here's a summary as of Monday, February 4, 2008. Bear River Snow Water Equivalent = 103% Total Precipitation = 101% Weber-Ogden Rivers Snow Water Equivalent = 118% Total Precipitation = 106% Provo-Jordan Rivers Snow Water Equivalent = 119% Total Precipitation = 119% Tooele Valley-Vernon Creek Snow Water Equivalent = 110% Total Precipitation = 110% Weighted Averages* 109% 106% Looking Good! GSL Slip Renters and Marina Users For those wondering if they should come out and shovel their boats, as of 3:30pm on February 3rd, we have had no snow at the marina. Temperatures have been mild and have melted almost all the snow that remained on the boats. Wind is still blustery but beginning to calm down. no observed damage at this time. Weather Warning for GSL

GSL Slip Renters and Marina Users We have issued a Storm Warning for the Great Salt Lake Marina Area and a Gale Force Warning for the Great Salt Lake. We have been experiencing steady winds around 30mph with numerous gusts over 50mph. Maximum gust at the marina has been 56mph this morning. These winds will continue until early afternoon when they should switch and subside. No damage has been observed to any vessels in the GSL Marina at this time. Snowpack Report

GSL Slip Renters and Marina Users This is the day I have been looking for all winter. Snow pack for the Great Salt Lake drainage area has finally broken 100% for the first time this winter.
