Re: [Glencook-fans] 13 days until Port of Shadows...
Yeah, I noticed that. Fortunately, I got Path to Coldness and Empire as eBooks back when Nightshade was partnered with Baen Books. They are no longer available through Baen, so I'd better keep ahold of these. -------------------------------------------- On Thu, 9/6/18, grim via glencook-fans <glencook-fans@mailman.xmission.com> wrote: Subject: Re: [Glencook-fans] 13 days until Port of Shadows... One of them is $27. In a medium where most are like $10. Hope this isn't affecting his sales negatively... To tide everyone over: while I've not completed the conversion yet, here's the "in-progress" conversion of the Black Company RPG rules to D&D 5E. You'll need to refer to the 5E rules, replacing character design with the characters here. The system handles injury/death, archetypes, and magic differently. I don't have full details of the item system (Black Company uses exceptional items, not magical items), and haven't started the mass combat rules, but everything else is functional. Magic talents all refer to spells from the 5E Player's Handbook; those familar with the D&D 3E rules will find magic considerably simplified. Rules can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zn6rov51sfk3gcd/5EBlackCompany.docx?dl=0 David
